Global Horizon Fund

WHO WE ARE

Global Horizon Fund is a fund of local funds that invests in the top private-equity funds in emerging regions around the world. This fund-of-funds approach provides exposure to fast-growth regions, and spreads portfolio and geographical risk. We use strong analytics to identify attractive economies with rapidly maturing capital markets, and stringent fund-selection criteria to identify best-of-breed local funds with domestic managers and investors.

HISTORY

The Global Horizon Fund was launched by the Money Matters Institute (MMI). Started in 1996, MMI has been supported over the years by the annual dues of its members: Arthur Andersen, Fidelity Investments, GF Securities, Heidrick & Struggles, INVESCO, Korn/Ferry International, Kuwait Projects Company, Prudential Securities and State Street Corp.

MMI was a UN-approved Business Interlocutor to the International Conference on Financing for Development held in Monterrey, Mexico, March 2002. Each year, MMI produces the Wealth of Nations Index, a ranking of 70 emerging economies based on 63 equally weighted variables. In 2004, MMI’s board of directors voted to focus on development of the Global Horizon Fund, a private-equity fund of local funds for emerging economies.
